2.2. Our own marketing attribution cookies
These let us know which channel you arrived through (search engine, social media, campaign, link from another website) and associate that information with the enquiries you send us, so we can measure which marketing activities work. These tags are managed through Google Tag Manager, which by itself does not store cookies for analytics or advertising purposes. We apply Google’s Consent Mode: until you accept, these tools load in a restricted mode and do not write analytics or advertising cookies.
3. Our own cookieless measurement
We use Umami, a web analytics system installed on our own server and served from our own domain.
- It uses no cookies and stores no information whatsoever on your device.
- It does not keep your IP address. It is used transiently to generate an anonymous identifier that rotates daily and cannot identify you or track you across different websites.
- The data is never transferred, sold or shared with any other company or third party. It stays entirely within our own infrastructure, with no external analytics providers involved.
We only record aggregate information — page views, country, device type and referring page — to understand which content is useful and improve the site. Because it is anonymous and first-party, this measurement runs independently of your choice in the banner; the third-party tools described in section 2 do require your consent.
4. Purpose of cookies
We use cookies and equivalent technologies to: remember your privacy preferences; understand how the site is navigated and which content is useful; identify errors and usability problems; know which channel our enquiries come through; and, if you authorise it, measure the effectiveness of our advertising campaigns.
5. How to manage your consent
The first time you visit the site we show you a banner with three options: accept all, accept only the essential ones, or manage your preferences by category (Analytics and Marketing separately). Your choice is kept for 30 days; after that period we will ask you again.
You can change your mind at any time by clearing this site’s browsing data in your browser: the banner will appear again. In addition, all browsers allow you to block or delete cookies from their privacy settings. Please note that blocking essential cookies may affect how the site works.
6. International transfers
Google, Microsoft and Meta may process data outside the European Economic Area. These transfers are covered by adequacy decisions and by the standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission. Our own measurement (section 3) involves no transfer at all: the data stays on our servers.
